Seeking Dental Assistant Position
I would sincerely like to thank you for taking the time to read my application, as you will see in my resume enclosed I have just returned from Australia working for a periodontal practice. I graduated from the CDA program from the University of the Fraser Valley. I would be looking to join your team as a full time or part time CDA and I believe I would be a very valuable asset to your office. As of last year I am a newly graduated CDA and because of my newly critiqued skills I am up to date on all of the proper protocols pertaining to the governing body of the CDSBC, as our requirements are ever changing in the dental field.
I am always looking to learn more and would like to further my education. The prosthodontic module and the orthodontic module are just a couple of the many courses I would like to take in order to expand my dental profile. I believe that participation and anticipation are the most important traits a CDA should have although having a strong work ethic and being able to build a strong rapport with the patient. Making them feel comfortable whether they are a child or an adult is very important to me. Some of my strongest skill sets are taking radiographs, mixing cements, and placing dental dams, as well as being comfortable with several different dental computer programs.
My instructors and previous employers have indicated that I take feedback very well and strive to seize opportunities for myself to better my skills as a CDA, hopefully I will prove to be of great value to your office as well.
Objective: To obtain a position as a CDA or receptionist in a dental office where I can apply my skills and educational training.
